Dad was a humble man and always treated people with respect. Dad never stopped learning new things. During his working live he studied one thing after another to enhance his skills. Dad only went to primary school but his desire to learn made him a person more knowledgeable than any well educated person. As far as we can remember he spent most his working life in the hotel industry, starting as a Bell Boy in Repulse Bay Hotel to managing a hotel when he was working in mainland China. His success was all down to his hard work, dedication and determination. Throughout and even after his working life Dad was always highly respected by other people in the industry. Dad was also a very talented person with lots of interests. There was always beautiful music being played at home when we were young. His love for music was everywhere to see. Dad could draw very well too even he had not had any formal training before. There is no doubt in our mind that Dad always lived his life to the full. Tai Chi was one of his favourite hobbies and he was regarded by his friends as the master. His interests varied from philosophy to calligraphy, table tennis, walking, plants, the list can go on and on... Dad appreciated and enjoyed everything in the natural world too from landscape, seascape, plants to small animals. We were living in a very small flat when we were young but Dad could always find spaces for plants, tortoises and goldfish at home.
